NAPCOD has four major departments, each with several programs running.
CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT
The overall goal of the conservation department is to safeguard threatened wildlife species and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth through, collaboration, research, and environmental education/awareness creation, management of protected areas and enhancement of alternative livelihoods. The programs under this department include;
- Environment/Wildlife Conservation
- Conservation Education and awareness creation
- Economic Livelihood Support programs (ELFP) and Community Development
- Research and Bio-monitoring
AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT
The main goal of this department seeks to improve on food security and incomes of poor rural farmers and vulnerable and underprivileged groups through promotion of climate smart agriculture, promotion of soil conservation techniques, improving crop productivity and the restoration of degraded agricultural landscapes in Cameroon. The programs under this department include;
- Agroforestry: Sustainable Organic Crop Farms (SOCFs)
- Sustainable Organic Animal Farms (SOAFs)
- Sustainable Organic Mushroom Farms (SOMFs)
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND CLIMATE CHANGE DEPARTMENT
The overall goal of this department is to contribute to creating and maintaining a healthy environment conducive for human and other wildlife survival. The programs under this department include;
- Combating Climate Change: Tree Planting and Watershed Protection
- Solid Waste Management
WOMEN/YOUTH EMPOWERMENT DEPARTMENT
The goal of this department seeks to foster and support women/youth initiatives and a strong representation of women/youth voices in decision making and policy formulation while empowering them to become self-reliant and contribute to sustainable growth of their communities. The programs under this department include;
- Promote Social Development programs
- Volunteering/Internship programs
- Philanthropy
